The Ultimate Olaplex Post Hair Extension Treatment
Having your hair extensions taking out is never a fun time, whether you are taking a bit of a break from them or waiting for a new set to be fitted, it's no secret that confidence can take a bit of a hit during this time as you adjust back to the length and thickness of your natural hair.
Hair extensions that are looked after correctly should not cause any damage to the natural hair, however that does not mean that your natural hair won't be in need of a little TLC.
Here is our step-by-step guide for the ultimate post hair extension treatment that your clients will love.
Step 1:
No4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo. This will help to remove any product residue in the hair, be that tape, removal solutions, or shampoo and conditioner that have built up over time. No4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo is perfect as a post hair extension treatment, as it repairs and protects the hair from split ends and frizz by relinking broken bonds. Rinse.
Step 2:
No2 Bond Perfector. This super smart treatment finds single sulphur hydrogen bonds and cross links them back together. Leave this treatment on the hair for a full 10 minutes before rinsing.
Step 3:
No5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner. Like the shampoo, this treatment relinks broken bonds and leaves the hair stronger as a result. Rinse.
Step 4:
Squeeze any excess water from the hair and brush out any tangles.
Step 5:
Apply No6 Bond Smoother and No7 Bonding Oil. Combine a pea sized amount of No6 with 1-2 drops of No7 to damp hair and comb through. No6 will help condition, strengthen and smooth the hair, whilst No7 will increase softness, shine, and colour vibrancy.
Step 6:
Dry your clients hair and style as preferred. You will find that your clients hair looks and feels stronger and visibly healthier.
